Steve is very thorough in his work and knowledgeable and helps suggest stretches to do between visits. One thing I notice is he seems hyper-focused on the clock and even if he is mid-working on a knot, when your time is up he stops and walks out the door. This leaves you feeling incomplete and sometimes worse than when you came in.

Traveling to PA from MA for my brothers' funeral I managed to wrench my shoulder. I easily made an appointment, even though it was last minute. Chris was thorough in asking for a detailed history of issues, of which i have a slew, and attended to each affected limb with the same attention and care to bettering my ability to move more pain free and smoothly. Appointment was with Chris. My complaint was muscular back pain. He listened to my problems and concerns and provided me with an excellent, healing massage. I usually feel sore the next day but I feel 1000 times better today. I couldn't have asked for better services.

Since our insurance has limited the number of physical therapy visits we can have per year to a minimal number, I have had a terrible time stiffening up. I have been in a lot of pain. After I’ve received a massage my body feels great. Jana, has also taken the time and effort to learn and understand sign language which I communicate to her with. I usually try to schedule at least one massage per month with Chris. He’s great and very professional. Very relaxing atmosphere and a lovely way to unwind from the stress of life. If you’re nervous, try the half hour massage instead to feel it out but I’m certain you won’t regret it! Also ask for the bed warmer to be turned on, such a relaxing experience!

My massage here was great. The entire experience was relaxing and welcoming. The room for the massage was large and warm. You get to pick the massage cream from a bucket of flavors. Any left over you get to take home. The massage was a mix of massage, stretch, and more. Being a first time user they give a free bar of soap. Great staff and overall experience!

Myself and two friends went to Shade Mountain for a relaxing girls afternoon. The staff was more than helpful with scheduling aspects and made us feel like we were their #1 customer, despite it being our first visit. We are already planning another get together for a spa party in the near future. The place is gorgeous and very cozy. My only complaint, which is not really a complaint at all, is that I was hoping my massage would cause labor as I am 39 weeks pregnant and it did not. It did feel amazing though! Thank you for the relaxing day and we will be back soon!

As usual, my 30 minute massage this past Monday, was heavenly. I only get an upper body massage, but it's still "enough" to leave me feeling wonderful from head to toe!! Not only physically, but mentally as well. Tamela is such a kind, caring and compassionate person w/ a "sweet soul"!! I don't make New Year's resolutions, but this year, I intend to try and come in monthly for a massage!!

Great natural products cure winter skin problems
Since using these great, all-natural lotions, creams and soaps , we have said goodbye to the winter dried, cracked finger nails and sore finger tips. My nails are no longer splitting off layers and breaking this winter since I started massaging the hand cream into my finger nails and hands each night at bedtime and after showers. The fragrances are so enjoyable and lasting.
My husband really likes the manly-scented soaps ( Try sprucer and sassafras birch), and has started using the cream to heal his roughened hands after seeing my results.
And, I thought it was all spoof about NATURAL products.....until now!

Monthly Caregiver tune-up
I care for my 17 year old daughter who needs assistance with all of her daily activities due to a car accident in 2010. I started monthly massages a year ago as a part of stress management and caring for the caregiver.
I have received massages from Tamela and Dana they are both wonderful, caring people. When I have a session I often joke with them about paying extra for a conselling session. Some people like quiet, I like the interaction of an adult. I have tried to stretch the time to a month and a half but my mind and body let me know that's not a good idea. Once I treated myself to a wrap....what a treat!
I recommend Shade Mountian R&R to anyone...even people who are "afraid" of massages. You don't know what your missing!!!!
